My name is Mara and I have created this podcast to inspire you with the stories of my guests and how they overcame fears, limiting beliefs, tragedies and obstacles and managed to find their purpose following their intuition.

In today’s episode I am interviewing Manuela Powell, a mindset coach.
As a lot of women of her generation, growing up in Brasil the career choice was revolving around the “good job” so Manuela decided to go into business school, but a month in she starts dreaming of being a doctor.
As the dream persisted for 2 weeks and she felt that was her, she dropped out business school and went on to later become a doctor for real.
Manuel tells us how she loved being a Doctor she became a cancer surgeon dealing with breast cancer and dedicated part of her life to this career.
Everything was going well until her mum had a chat with her, Manuela was approaching 40 and her mum wanted to reminder her that if she wanted to have kids it was time to slow down and concentrate on something else.
Manuela already knew that was the time and she had a plan in mind, she didn’t need a man to have a child but, the universe had other plans.
As she took time off she also met her now husband.
Life changed so much for Manuela in the space of a few years and after the second kid she knew she would have not gone back to be a surgeon and while she was trying to figure out what else she could do she stumbled across life coaching and again she knew.
We talk about this inner knowing and the courage to follow that feeling that doesn’t need further research or exploration and that allows you to make the right decision, even if it’s difficult to explain this to others.
We talk about what women face and the emotional rollercoaster that women go through after having become a mum and that feeling of not knowing yourself anymore, as this is what Manuela helps women with.
Manuela’s story is confirmation when you listen to your intuition and you take action upon it, everything aligns.
