Welcome to Episode 41 of Intuitive Queens podcast from your Intuition Queen.
My name is Mara and I have created this podcast to inspire you with the stories of my guests and how they overcame fears, limiting beliefs, tragedies and obstacles and managed to find their purpose following their intuition. My hope is that you will resonate with one or all of them and their story will get you to take-action to change your life, and finally go after your dreams.
In this episode I am Interviewing Erica Carrico, Life Purpose and Business Coach.
Erica tells us straight away how she has always had this feeling of wanting to make a difference in the world.
As many women at her age, when it’s time to start off from somewhere with finding a career, she chose the known and safe career in corporate.
Erica loved it, she could travel, she was very successful and she was doing all the cool things she wanted in her life but when she turned 28 she realised she was the complete opposite of happy.
She was numbing herself to avoid facing the fact that she was not making a difference in the world as she had always wanted.
This realisation gave her anxiety and at first it was difficult to do anything as Erica told us that the reason why she was in that position was because she had always tried to be the person she should, based on what others thought she had to become.
The thought of starting over and find a brand new career at 30 terrified her.
She was trying to feel better listening to positive affirmations, trying to find a way out but nothing was working and she finally decided to quit.
She went travelling for months and this experience helped clear her mind and figure out she wanted to coach.
However, once back fear started crippling, her anxiety took over and she gave in.
Instead of investing a smaller amount of money in setting up her own coaching business she decided to take a master and ask for a loan that was almost 4 times the amount of money she would have needed to start her own business.
Erica got a great job, she was again quickly successful but a few years in she was right back at the same place, miserable and unhappy because she wasn’t doing what her soul wanted.
This time she listened and enrol in the Beautiful You Coaching Academy but as the course was about to start she was diagnosed with cancer.
Erica tells us how that moment was the one that actually gave her even more strength and conviction that she was meant to be a coach, she was meant to follow their purpose and so she did.
She is now award winning coach and she is helping women to follow that inner knowing that can lead you to a happy and fulfilled life.
